    Agreed. I downloaded Annotum and find many of the concepts to be worthwhile, but the implementation leaves much to be desired. Not counting what appear to be theming variations, I counted 37 CSS files -- very few of which I would keep as a designer; this may cause me to entirely dump annotum as a possibility for a major university website initiative. The main CSS file prettifies to 1900 lines or more; and is a tangled mess which I WILL not use.

    PHP wise, I have three enhancements I'd like to code -- but the "theme framework" as implemented makes what should be a simple child theme enhancement into an analytic task that may not be worth even ten percent of the time invested simply to use what is good.

    That said, and not meaning to just gripe, I would be glad to assist if there is an expert user or programmer I could work with to do separate out the parts into a useful and meaningful semantic API.
