  3. restore Knol's formatting options like centering and extra fonts.

    The port from Knol to Annotum preserves most of the formatting — bolding, centering, fonts, etc. — but it gets lost again as soon as you make a single edit, and there doesn't seem to be a way to get centering or anything more than sans serif fonts back.

  6. allow author/contributor to upload article from file

    allow author or contributor to upload their articles for review as pdf or doc (or other filetype)

    they can still copy/paste the text into the form using the current system, but also be able to simply "attach" a file with their submission.

  7. provide field for "cover letter" during submission of new articles

    when submitting a new article the following fields are currently provided:

    abstract
    body of the article
    references
    acknowledgements
    funding
    appendices

    I'd also like to see a section for a "cover letter" allowing the author to highlight the importance of the article being submitted

  8. allow Github style inline peer-review comments

    Since submissions are pushed into strict XML markup (which is a strong idea, by the way), it would be a dream to allow editors to and reviewers to make inline annotations as coders do on Github. In fact there are many things about that peer review experience that could add precision to academic peer review. (Push and pull errata, anyone?)

  9. Allow attribution for the featured image

    We're going to be using Flickr and Creative Commons as the featured image for our articles. However, no matter what I put into Caption, Alternative Text and Description, it doesn't display in the Carousel or the Featured Articles. I'd like to be able to attribute the images correctly on the home page.

  10. customize review fields/options

    Reviewers can accept, require revisions, or reject articles, and are able to fill out a single comment box.

    I would like to be able to easily edit these options, for example by adding radio-button style questions to ensure the reviewers address certain key points

  12. allow the insertion of downloads

    Im not 100% sure if this is already possible. I did install annotuma nd then remove it thinking it didnt fit my purpose. But i recommend allowing the upload of PDF files. So if i insert abstract of a article I want to link to a PDF of the PUBLISHED version (say downloaded form PubMed central), rather than the PDF generated verison that this creates.

  13. How to import data from OJS PKP system?

    I need to import data from a OJS platform run on PKP.
    Is it possible? how to do it?
    I tried to import some XML to annotum XML importer, but it doesn't accept any of them. maybe because of the xml have to be in Kipling format.

    I run a journal which is partially open. It is non-profit, but not free either. We currently offer password and IP based authentication for protected content. Institutional libraries often prefer IP based authentication.
